Timetables: Online Practical Training Days
All course days are very full and usually run from 9.15 am to 5 pm, although timings may vary. Students will be sent their Course Timetables two weeks prior to the start of the course, providing the balance of the costs has been paid. Course Manuals (where applicable) and other student resources are available on the first day of the practical training course. Note: although every effort is made to keep to published timetables wherever possible, they may occasionally be subject to change.

Terms and Conditions
When you submit and sign the Enrolment Form or when you enrol Online, you will be asked to confirm that you have read and accept the Terms and Conditions. Please be sure therefore to read the Terms and Conditions (which are attached to the Enrolment Form) carefully. If you have any queries relating to the Terms and Conditions, please contact the Course Administrator at the YMCA Cambridge Office as follows:
We may alter these Terms and Conditions from time to time and post the new version on our website following which all use of our website will be governed by that version. You must check the terms and conditions on the website regularly.

|
Practical Assessments
Unless otherwise stated, Practical Assessments usually take place 3-4 weeks after the end of a practical training course. Please make sure that you have the available time after the course to practise for assessment. Please note: Practical Assessments normally require you to bring one or two volunteers to take part in the practical session.
|
|
Practical Training Courses
Please note that all practical courses are demanding. Students will also be expected to complete homework in the evenings and in the week/days between course dates, as well as revision for Theory Papers where applicable. Please make sure therefore that you have the available home-study time needed during the course.
|
Online Courses
In addition to this page, if you are thinking about signing up for an Online Course, please make sure you read the Online Course Information page. You will be asked to confirm that you have read and understand this page when you sign up.

Course Prerequisites
Where previous qualifications are a prerequisite for a course, for example, if you wish to enrol on the Nutrition course and are required to hold a current Level 2 qualification, you must complete the Recognition of Prior Achievement (RPA) Application Form. The RPA Application Form is attached to the Enrolment Form. Download the Enrolment and RPA Form here.
|
Accreditation of RPA or RPL
If you think you already hold any part of the qualification listed under the Course Description, you may claim ‘Recognition of Prior Learning’. The RPL Guidance Notes give full information on claiming RPL. Download RPL Guidance Notes here. See also REPs Testing Centre information.
